We discussed a divorce in January of this year. We were good friends but just didn’t mesh it seemed as a couple. Our solution was that we turned to polyamory. I have a boyfriend that I have “date nights” with. Husband gives me a kiss goodbye…tells me he loves me and off I go. It works. It has been all about honesty and being open with other. Marriage shouldn’t be about monogomy. There is room to love others in your life. I do love this other person just as much as I love my husband. It is a relationship based on non-ownership of another human being and individuality and freedom. If we have problems, we talk about them right away before they fester. I’ve never really been happier.

My fiancée and I met in Montreal in 1994, married in 1996, divorced in 1998, and had no contract with each other for over a year and a half.
Around Christmas 2000, we start talking and as we talked and talked and talked, we got back together and despite our differences and likes and dislikes, we are getting re-married this June.
The marriage has changed from the first attempt. It’s better.
